Donate Life Maryland is a nonprofit
organization dedicated to saving and enhancing lives by
registering organ, eye and tissue donors. DLMD was established
in 2007 by the
The Living Legacy Foundation of Maryland,
the
Medical Eye Bank of Maryland
and
Washington Regional Transplant Community.
In addition to having a heart on your driver's license or
carrying a signed donor card, Donate Life Maryland now allows
you to express your legal commitment to becoming an organ, eye
and tissue donor securely on line. The Registry guarantees your
wishes will be honored when you die.
Sign up today to become an organ, eye and tissue donor. Through
your generous gifts, you can help save lives through organ
donation, enhance the lives of others through tissue donation,
give the gift of renewed vision to two people and change the
lives of millions through disease research and therapy.

The Donate Life Family Fun Run is a
non-competitive 5K run and 1K walk to raise awareness for organ,
eye and tissue donation and celebrate Maryland’s organ and
tissue donors and their families. Proceeds from the Donate Life
Family Fun Run benefit the Living Legacy Foundation of Maryland
to further the organization’s mission of providing advocacy,
family support, comprehensive public and professional education,
and commitment to enhancing the organ and tissue donation
process.
In the past, donor families and friends,
transplant recipients, hospital partners, Team Maryland members
and more have created teams and participated in the Donate Life
Family Fun Run. In addition to raising funds, the run is a great
way to celebrate life, second chances, and the generous organ,
eye and tissue donors who are responsible for those second
chances.
